In-situ SEM characteristics of dispersed organic matter in continental shale with its implication for dessert evaluation--A case study of Paleogene shale in the Cangdong Sag, Bohai Bay Basin, China

Organic matter (OM) in continental shale serves as both the source of oil and gas storage space unconventional petroleum systems. However, directly identifying types organic under SEM is challenging when simultaneously observing minerals pores. Kong2 Member(E2k2) Paleogene Cangdong sag Bohai Bay basin a typical layer China. Based on positioning observation technology combining field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) fluorescence microscope, in-situ identification macerals were carried out, methods characteristics summarized. The results show that: (1) E2k2 are divided into vitrinite, inertinite, liptinite solid bitumen by external morphology, hardness, brightness, color, protrusion, pore fracture development matter, further subdivided multiple subcategories. charging effect remaining oil, it confirmed that movable generation potential developed lipoid group largest, while vitrinite inertinite worst; (2) pores include primary secondary derived from biological structure during thermal maturation oily matter. Clay mineral catalysis, difference hydrocarbon residual control pores; (3) Calcareous-dolomitic felsic lithology formed relatively dry humid climate respectively, significantly different. Although former has weak total generation, stronger worthy attention dessert prediction exploration.
